Alanya Joins The European Network For Accessible Tourism (ENAT)
Alanya is pleased to announce that it has become the first Turkish Associate Member of the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT).
Alanya leads the way in disability accessibility in Turkey and has long been regarded as a role model for other centres of tourism to follow. The Alanya Tourism Managers Fellowship (ALTID) places particular importance on its long term Accessible Tourism Project, the results of which have included the Alanya Municipality Accessible Park and Recreation Centre, together with the Kleopatra Beach at Damlataş, Turkey’s first truly accessible beach.
Alanya continues to invest in improving its facilities, including enhancements around the Cruiseport such as seaside footpaths, marine artefacts and an attractive and educational Maritime Museum in the ancient Dockyard. In addition work continues to increase accessibility to historical sites and other amenities, and to increase its accessible hotel accommodation.
